Abstract
In this journal, I break down the key components of the magical use of music in traditional Celtic magic. Comparing its traditional uses as well as its use in today's world. Celtic folk magic has many components and is one of the most well-known forms of magic in the world. One of the largest building blocks for this practice is music. Originating in Ireland and Scotland, Celtic magic has always used music as a source of power, healing, as well as embedding it into their mythology. These practices started as early as 700 B.C.E and are still used today by people all over the world. A fascinating culture deeply intertwined with nature and music. Even today people are discovering the healing properties of Celtic folk music along with continuing to recite it in festivals and holiday celebrations.
who were the Celts?

The celts were a group of people who lived in mostly Scotland and Ireland. Majority of people in this group were practicing pagans and were heavily involved in nature and magic. They are an ancient group of people but some in todays day still follow their practices and teachings though most of them have been lost. When Christianity took hold in the world, paganism as well as the celts were mostly erased from the world so the information is limited on the original stories and practices from that day but we have a good guess. enjoy!
